Redhat LE 6 Beta – iSCSI install?!

I must have glazed over this previously. Since I haven’t done many RHEL installs, don’t own any licenses, etc. I’ve installed 5 before, but I don’t remember these options just so blatantly obvious. Now you have tons of options to choose from: Multipath devices, regular SAN devices, and FCoE/iSCSI protocols. I’ll see what else it’s got to offer later, but here’s the stuff:

First real setting we get. I most certainly do not remember it being this simple!

Now I just went about selecting my type of SAN, iSCSI of course.

Here you can setup how you want your network prior to the initiator connecting to the SAN, else, well, it wouldn’t work.

Here you get the IQN so you can adjust your LUN masking settings if you have a storage device that supports that. And you just enter your SAN IP address.

Check that box at the very left and here we go!

Not really sure why this is an error, if anyone can enlighten me, I’d appreciate it.

Hazzah! We’re done after clicking through the rest of the normal stuff. This was done in VMware Workstation, so of course you can’t boot from the SAN(Dear VMWare….). I’ll have to see about adjusting the boot partitions later and see how that goes.
